What’s the big deal about Life Groups at Twin Rivers this year?
We are so excited about the journey God has for our Life Groups this year and you do not want to miss out! This year, our Life Group Leaders will be taking people through a study of the chronological bible. What is the chronological bible? Glad you asked! It’s the bible laid out in order by time rather than by book. You read all the same great scriptures (nothing is changed) but in order of how the events happened. It’s such a great way to read and really understand the bible. Whether you have never read the bible or have read it a dozen times through, this study is perfect for people at every level . At just 6 pages a day (that’s merely the size of a magazine article), you will have read through the entire Chronological bible by the end of May. Didn’t dive in when we started Life Groups this fall? No problem! You can join a Life Group at any time and start reading with us where you jump in. It’s just that easy! What are Life Groups?
Life Groups is the ACTS 2 Church in Action (Acts 2:42), focusing on 4 elements of Christian Community: Teaching, Fellowship, Breaking of Bread (some Life Groups will share a meal and some will serve light refreshments) and Prayer.
Who are Life Groups For?
Life Groups are for EVERYONE! There may be Life Groups for young married couples with children, women, men, young adults, retirees, a mixture of different people and the list goes on! A Life Group is a group of up to 15 adults but no smaller than 5 adults. Some groups are child friendly and parents split the cost of in-home babysitting at the life group.
When do Life Groups Meet?
Depending on the group, Life Groups meet weekly or 2x per month. The day and time will vary by group as set by each Life Group Leader (e.g., every other Friday at 7:00 p.m.).
Where do Life Groups Meet?
Life Groups typically meet in the Leader’s home or other Host home but can really meet anywhere! Think cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, at church, in parks, etc!
Why Should I Join a Life Group?
Christian community is essential to the Christian’s walk. It is particularly important with our busy lifestyles that we make time with other believers to learn about God’s Word, pray, share a meal and fellowship. What a great way to connect you to God, to other people and to Twin Rivers. Life Groups are a way to connect you to a larger body of believers with a “small church feel.” As a Christian, you can expect to grow in your faith and knowledge of God’s Word as you learn more about the bible with other Christians. And, what an evangelistic opportunity! Unsaved friends and family may not come to a traditional church service but they will probably be willing to eat, fellowship and learn about the bible in a laidback environment.
How do I Join a Life Group?
